In certain areas water causes staining. Persistent stains may be removed by boiling acidic fruit in the pan. Aluminium pans are not dishwasher safe. A plastic spoon or spatula is preferable to metal tools. Do not stack cutlery in saucepans when washing up.
To help avoid sticking in plain frying pans heat a little olive oil. Ensure all of the inside is covered. Do not wash - wipe clean.
