TECHCARD MAKER PACK, Pack

28 project cards per year level. This series provides opportunities for pupils to creatively apply skills and knowledge in science, design and technology, mathematics and digital technology, whilst completing short or long term projects.

Empty packaging and upcycled materials grow into monsters and machines through the imagination and invention of young minds. The Maker Pack extends junk modelling activities by adding wheels, axles, cams and linkages so that children can make models that move. Introducing these mechanical elements extends the potential of junk modelling and introduces key topics in the science and technology curriculum such as simple mechanisms and forces. The Maker Pack brings junk modelling to life and includes enough TechCard parts to make 30 moving models when used with a wide range of upcycled boxes and other materials.

The TechCard parts include: Structural elements, wheels, axles, cams and linkages, plus three sets of instructions to allow the teacher to choose between the popular topics of Moving Machines, Moving Monsters and Moving Toys.
